Musical end credits

Few minutes back, I watched "Bhangra paa le" movie for the nth time. As the end credits were rolling, I noticed it had a beautiful soundtrack. Earlier I had noticed the songs, the bhangra, the story to be sweet. And now even the credit soundtrack was so sweet. Everything that ends well (sweet) is also sweet, I felt.

What if our life's end credits too would be so sweet! Or whatever you would prefer to replace the word "sweet" with! I meant feelings such as contentment, joyful, peaceful, being happy at our last moment. I am not sure if any worldly achievement or success holds any importance, when our story is nearing the end credits. Co-incidentally, a wise friend of mine explained me today that whatever a person practices all through his life, he can not change it in his last days.

In conclusion, I feel to make our story a sweet one, we should take care that the ending is sweet. For the ending to be sweet, we need to practice that all through our life! And of course, the definition of a sweet life may vary from person to person!

Good luck!!! :)

Utility

While reading an article on 'Microeconomics', I came across this:
"Individuals make decisions based on the concept of utility. In other words, the decision made by the individual is supposed to increase that individual's happiness or satisfaction."
Please note The words "supposed to".

Once when I was a school going kid, I wanted a particular book of puzzles. I had thought if I get it, that's it, then I don't want anything else. I will be happy forever, just that I have to get it. I got it. Then I thought the same thing about Atlas book. I got it. And then ..the list continued.

You too must have got things, you once wished for. Did they give the amount of happiness, you had thought they would, and in case they did, for how much duration did that happiness last?

PS. My current wish is to play Battlefield 3.

SMS at 3.13am

Many a times, we read a sentence and just because we know the dictionary meaning of each and every word used in that sentence, we think that we have completely understood the sentence.

Today, at 3.13am, I received a sms from an unsaved number. Usually, I am in deep sleep at that time but today I was awake just few minutes before the sms arrived. As if I was awakened just to read the sms! And ofcoarse, I went to sleep after reading it.

I read the sms, and like they show in carton, a bulb lit above my head. I had found a deeper meaning in the sentence!

Here is the gem:
"If you have trascended the mind then there is happiness, calmness, serenity throughout."

I feel, whenever I am unhappy, it is not because I am not having a particular thing that I want, but it is rather because my mind is completely successful at making me believe that, unless I have that particular thing, I won't be happy.

May God bless that Unknown (until now) person who sent me that sms!!! :)

My taste

This movie was released few months back. There was a lot of hype about it. But when it was released, the reviews said, it's not so good. Considering the genre of the movie this movie was never on my to-be-watched-movies list. My friends who saw it regretted to see it. As per them, other than good sceneries there was nothing in the movie. Many have warned me against watching it.

Today, I happen to see this movie. I liked it very much. I am shocked on my taste. How can I like a movie, which almost everyone have not liked? This movie is Raavan.

May be I saw something which others skipped! :P:)

Defy the Future

I saw "Prince of Persia" last Saturday. One of the best movies I have ever seen. I liked it very much and was to write about it on the same day. But it got postponed, and now I don't have much to write about it.
One thing I learnt from the movie was that, sometimes beauty lies in the attitude. Can you guess, which character from the movie am I referring to? :)

Haan hai

Aayi meri subha hasti hasati
boli aake tere liye sandesa hai, haan hai

Jaagi aankhon ko bhi sapna milega
kohin khushi aane ka bhi andesa hai, haan hai

Above is a song from Raajneeti. I love to hear the words "haan hai", and it's not just because of Antara Mitra's sweet voice.

"Haan hai" literally means "yes, it is". I was so engrossed in being sad about things I couldn't get in the past and worrying about the things I want in future, that I forgot about the present.

In my favourite movie "Kung Fu Panda", here is what Master Oogway tells to depressed Po, "Quit. Don't quit. Noodles. Don't noodles. You are too concerned with what was and what will be. There's a saying. Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift that is why it is called the "present"."

Those two words, "haan hai" reminds me of, or rather pulls me IN this moment, this beautiful moment. :)

Those two words

Those two words.
Those sweetest two words.
Those lovely two words.
Today is the day I will hear them again.
The only reason for writing this post is that I would love to hear those two words from you.
It's my b'day today. :)
